Frequently Asked Questions
Everything clients tend to ask before their first session. Don't see your question here? Reach out on the contact page.
What should I expect during my first session?
Emily will start with a short conversation about any problem areas, injuries, or goals for the session, then give you privacy to undress to your comfort level and get onto the table under a sheet. Only the area being worked on is uncovered at any time.
How do I choose the right service?
If it's your first visit or you mainly want to relax, start with Swedish Relaxation. If you're dealing with chronic tightness or pain, Deep Tissue or Myofascial Release will go further. Not sure? Mention it in the notes field when booking and Emily will recommend a service.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Zelle, Cash App, and Venmo. When you request an appointment, you'll choose a method, receive payment instructions, and attach a screenshot or photo of your payment before submitting your request.
Is my payment confirmed immediately?
Your request and payment slip are sent directly to Emily, who reviews and confirms each booking personally — usually within a few hours. You'll hear back by phone, text, or email.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less notice, or missed appointments, may be subject to a cancellation fee. Reach out as early as you can if something comes up.
Do you offer in-home sessions?
Yes — Emily brings a table, oils, and linens to your location within a limited local radius. Mention your address in the notes field when booking and Emily will confirm availability for your area.
Is massage safe during pregnancy?
Prenatal massage is offered for clients in their second or third trimester, using supported side-lying positioning. If you're in your first trimester or have a high-risk pregnancy, please check with your doctor before booking and mention this when you request your appointment.
What if I have an injury or medical condition?
Mention any injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions in the notes field when booking. Emily will adjust technique and pressure accordingly, and may ask a few follow-up questions before your session to keep things safe.
How far in advance should I book?
Booking a few days ahead gives the best chance of getting your preferred time, though same-week requests are often possible too. Weekday afternoons tend to be the most flexible.
